Developed as a collaborative research project, Drawing Dialogue facilitated drawing collaborations between artists from around the world, who were open to starting visual conversations in groups of two or three artists who responded to the drawings started and sometimes continued by artists who have never met or talked to each other before. The intention was to challenge perceptions, fears, and be the catalyst for change, and permeate each other practices. With a refreshing openness from all artists involved, this was an invaluable experience both for Gabriela Boiangiu, as the curator for this project, and most of the artists who engaged in this exchange. Exhibitions in the UK, Romania and Greece, also enabled meetings, discussions and a symposium of presentations from artists on the theme of drawing and artistic collaboration.
